With Liiga and the CHL kicking off sooner than the NHL, the team has already reported back to Tampere to prepare for the upcoming season. I was fortunate enough to catch up with returning defenseman Les Lancaster as he settles back in and starts to focus on the next campaign.
This season has shed new light on the sport that I have come to love dearly. Mostly that hockey is alive and thriving in places outside of North America. Like, Finland.
