This pains me, it really does. Being a Siena alum, there is nothing more than I hate than a Marist Red Fox. Every year the two teams battle it out for the ’87 cup. This year, like the last few years, Marist took it home.
Daniel Roberts decided to put the team on his back as he had a 4 point night in a 5-2 victory against Siena. A goal and three assists make you a big game player, I guess. I know the ACHA Beauty of The Week Award isn’t just about stats but it’s hard not to give this award to him. Marist has won this for 4 straight years and it’s something that can’t be ignored. So congratulations, or whatever.
Fun fact: The last time Siena won this cup, Ked was on the squad.
These last 4 years are a small setback for a major comeback. Until next year fellas.
