The Kings are second to last in the league so its needless to say that they’ve had a rough year. Who would’ve thought an already older team who added an older Ilya Kovalchuk would struggle.
Sometimes when teams aren’t performing its the organizations PR/ marketing team who needs to step up and thats exactly what the Kings did. Having Ron Burgundy on the call is great for everybody. During the broadcast he talked about how Joe Thornton regularly loses food in his beard followed by telling the world that the Sharks haven’t won a cup ever and that they wouldn’t even know what it looks like. Anchorman came out in 2004 and 15 years later Ron Burgundy is still hilarious. Good for the Kings and good for us.
