The Blues trade Zach Sanford to Ottawa for Logan Brown and conditional draft pick. This is excellent news for St. Louis and makes another father/son connection. Logan Brown is son of former defenseman Jeff Brown.
Sanford had just agreed to a one-year $2 million contract. This frees up some extra cap space and could lead to James Neal and/or Michael FrolĂk getting signed. On top of all this Robert Thomas signs a two-year deal worth $2.8 million.
Oh yeah and before I forget Peter Chiarelli and Ken Hitchcock were hired in the Blues front office. Things are looking good for Blues fans, right?
