Hurricanes Leave Sunshine State 1-1

What started off as a tight game with the Canes leading in shots, lead them to a 2-1 win over the Lightning in overtime. Vasilevskiy was a brick wall in the first period. However, the Hurricanes couldn’t get a goal with the power plays they did have.

Apparently Finland has named days and Tuesday was Teuvo day. Well guess what…Teuvo Teravainen scored! In the second period, Steven Stamkos opened the scoring for the Lightning. The rest of the period remained 1-0 Tampa Bay.

Teravainen opened up the scoring to tie the game in the third period. It remained tied until overtime when Martin Necas scored to give the Hurricanes their 10th win of the season.

They have a few days off before playing the Philadelphia Flyers at home on Friday. Will Brind’Amour keep the same lines and pairings? I hope he does, as it worked against the Lightning.
