Canucks Lose Seventh Straight, Fall To Hurricanes 3-2

As they celebrated Diwali at Rogers Arena Monday night, the Canucks lost to the Hurricanes in a close 3-2 game. Andrei Svechnikov opened the scoring on the power play for Carolina. JT Miller answered back with a power play goal that followed a failed challenge by Carolina. The two teams played a scoreless second period before goals from Sebastian Aho and Jesper Fast put Carolina up 3-1 under two minutes into the third. JT Miller scored just over ten minutes into the final period, but it wasn’t enough as the Canucks fell 3-2. The Canucks were heavily outshot at 39 for Carolina and 16 for the Canucks, but the Canucks outhit the Canes 27-11. The Canucks will go searching for their first win Thursday night against the Kraken.
