These west coast trips are never for the faint of heart but the grinders and die-hards try their best to stay awake.
In other news Tom Wilson!

The 6 game point streak scorching hot Tom Wilson got us on the board first after some garbage clean up via the shot of Leonard. 1-0 Caps. Tommy has 13 points in his last 9 games dating back to Nov.17th recording 7 goals and 6 apples.
The Kings got the equalizer in the 2nd via a 2v1 rush where Anze Kopitar fed Adrian Kempe for the quick tap in goal to beat LT. 1-1 ballgame.
Then at the beginning of the 3rd after a complete whiffing attempt by the King’s defender on Ovi he was able to get the puck across to McMichael who waited patiently for the Kings tendy to attack him which left a wide open crashing Anthony Beauvillier for the easy tap in go ahead goal, 2-1 Caps. This was Beau’s 6th geno of the season and his 4th straight game with a point.
This was also Ovechkin’s 2nd assist on the night which makes him the 7th player in NHL history with 800 career road points.
Then with a last ditch effort the Kings pulled their goalie and Protas got a nice bounce off the boards on the clearing attempt and made a nice excuse me move for the wide open empty netter. 3-1 game over.
We also got to see a nice little tilt between Duhaime and Edmundson.
I know I mentioned in previous blog how not exciting our power play has been been but adding Ryan Leonard to the PP with Wilson has been very noticeable his speed and effort with Wilson’s power and finesse has been a beautiful sight to see.
As mentioned previously this was the last time the Caps would see Kopitar in his final season and Ovi made sure the boys paid their respects for his legendary career.
The boys are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games so lets keep this train going.
The boys face a rebuilding but young Sharks team that is still exceeding expectations next lets not make it a trap game and finish it early.
