Today proved that this is a truly special time to be a Devils fan. For the second time this year, the Devils blew out the Rangers. For the seventh game in a row, the Devils held their opponent to 20 or fewer shots on goal. For the fifth time in the last six games, the Devils got two points.
The Devils are clicking on all cylinders right now. The victories are constant and convincing. Even in rare defeats, the team still looks sharp.
The Devils got out to an early lead over the most pathetic franchise from the original six and never looked back.
Jack Hughes got knocked down by Michael Rasmussen in October. It was very overblown.
Timo Meier showed a Nashville twerp a little old time hockey and the NHL made a mockery of the game by suspending Meier.
