It wasn’t that long ago when I hated Marc-Andre Fleury. I thought the obsession the Penguins fans gave his was so ridiculous and I couldn’t understand why every one loved him. My impressions of him changed last year as the season went on when he was arguably the best player in the playoffs and stories were told that he was one of the biggest pranksters in the league. Like Ovechkin, you can tell this guy just loves the game of hockey and loves the fans of his home team. He almost always is sporting a smile, well that is until last night.
I mean, veteran fucking move. This is a move used by a goalie who is always trying to stay on top. Why not build a giant snow wall GoT style in front of your net to protect against empty net goals. This past weekend in Placid our goalie kept slamming the net off when there was any sort of pressure being built up and granted while the other team had a full blown aneurysm, I loved it. I mean guys, if you’re not cheating you’re not trying and in a game based on W’s and L’s I would go to war for someone willing to go the extra mile to win at all costs. Marc-Andre, you’re a beauty sir. Never change.
Also, fuck the guy who tattled on him. Ever heard of snitches get stitches? Time to send Reavo after him.
