Last night I got a twitter message from our boy coach asking to spread the word of a buddy who got hurt in an accident recently. As per the go fund me page:
For those of you who haven’t heard my bestfreind Tyler Stockman had a life changing accident happen on Saturday. He is suffering from a neck/spinal injury and is undergoing multiple surgeries. The surgeons are hoping to insert a plate that will fuse his C5 & C6. We are unsure of what the outcome and future holds but we know that the Tyler’s family is in for a long road to recovery. We will be organizing a benefit/fundraiser in the near future in the Thousand Islands Area. In the meantime, we have started this gofund me page to help cope with the finically burden of Tyler accident. For those who don’t know Ty, he is the the best teammate, classmate, brother and best friend imaginable. He is the type of kid who goes leaps and bounds to help his friends and family. His passion in life is hockey, and we hope to bring the hockey community together to help raise money for Tyler’s operations on the road to recovery.
So what does the hockey community do now? We step in and we help. I can’t imagine the pain this family is going through so we will do our best to help out. You got a spare buck, a 5? Toss it on in there. It’s time to rally for the kid.
