Cool Moment: Sabres Get Assistant Equipment Manager a Snowmobile For His 2,000th Game

You always hear stories about equipment managers being the unsung heroes of NHL teams. They work endless hours, do the jobs hockey players would never want to do and are a real fabric of an NHL team. George Babcock worked his 2,000th NHL game (George, not Mike) and the Sabres got him something with a little speed.

I recently got two sleds and went riding for the first time last night. Keep in mind, I don’t have any idea what I’m doing. When it comes to motorsports I know 2 things.

  1. Rubbin’s racin’
  2. People fear a mustache

This is a really cool thing for the Sabres to do and with the hockey community reeling behind the type of culture it has, it’s nice to see a story about something nice, happy and fun without any “EVERYTHING SUCKS” going on.
