Rangers Win 2020 Draft Lotto: Welcome To NY AL!

If I am being honest with you all. This is a top 4 day for me in terms of being a New York Rangers fan. Winning this draft lotto completely changes the face of New York Rangers for the long term. I know that may sound like an overreaction, but it’s true. The Rangers have not had the potential of player like this, to come up from their farm since Brian Leetch. Drafting Alex Lafrenière will be great for the sport of hockey, hockey in the metro area, and the one of the most meaningful draft picks in New York Rangers history.

Welcome to New York AL!

So I said this was a top 4 day….what are the other 4 days? The 4th is of course today, winning the draft lotto. The 3rd best day is when the Rangers made it to the Stanley Cup Final (we won’t talk about the series with the Kings). The second is when I had the opportunity to “work” for the New York Rangers for community service hours for my Confirmation. I got to do some laundry. Lay out the teams in between period drinks back when the NHL was sponsored by Powerade. I cleaned up the bench and organized tape. It was a dream come true. Not to mention I got to watch there game from in-between the benches and it was the game when Richter pulled his groin. The 1st is obviously the Stanley Cup in 1994. I know I was 6 for it, but it was still special to be a part of.

I really don’t even know what the point of the blog was. I just needed to talk about how great it is to be a Rangers fan right now. I cannot wait until next year!! Here are some AL highlights to get the juices flowing….

PS: my 5th greatest day was when we draft Kakko. Knowing the Rangers are starting to build something special is awesome to watch and I am so happy to be a fan of the New York Rangers.
