The Dallas Stars were scheduled to face the Nashville Predators on Monday evening. Well, at least that’s what this guy thought. I made my way downtown, much like Michelle Branch, a mere minutes away from walking to the American Airlines Center. Then the news broke. Game postponed.
Now, before you start about the power issue, put yourself in the shoes of the people who made the trip. They paid the money and didn’t want to chance losing the tickets. They paid for parking. They knew the risk. Then, with less than an hour before puck drop, the mayor forced the American Airlines to promptly cease all operations. Turning fans away at the door.
Real solid work Dallas. You absolutely had the chance to listen to the hundreds of thousands of complaints by fans across all forms of social media. You knew what was happening state wide. You saw the news outlets and heard the meteorologists. Every. Chance. Yet, you did nothing.
Now everyone is making their ways home. Myself included. Sun is down. Roads refreezing. Well played you cowards. As if the Dallas Stars public relations relations wasn’t numb enough. Next time let’s worry less about announcing that we are still singing the damn anthem that everyone else is STILL singing and maybe make a decision. Stunning work all around. American Airlines Center. Dallas Stars. Mayor Johnson. Absolute bang up job today you clowns.
