It’s been a while since I’ve wrote about Vegas. The gold sweaters have grown on me but I’m not sure how I feel about the gold helmets. There is no longer a mustard feel but now a C-3P0 vibe and i’m not talking about Carey Price’s twitter handle.
I feel like the chrome silver works better in Henderson for the Silver Knights. It’s almost like armor with the silver tint and looks really nice shinning off the ice. But gold is going to take some getting used to. I wish I could go to a game and see these in real life.
Robin Lehner is out with a lower body injury. Marc-Andre Fleury has back to back wins and is fresh off shutting out a high powered Colorado Avalanche. Max Pacioretty scored the only goal after being held off the score sheet in the last three games. The Golden Knights look good with a 10-2-1 record.
Vegas play at home against Colorado tomorrow and then both teams will fly out to Lake Tahoe for the first outdoor game of the season. Assuming there will be no covid scares and the weather cooperates the two outdoor games in Lake Tahoe could be this year’s “Winter Classic”. Read more about the production process and how they are bringing the ice to Lake Tahoe. Before Sunday’s game between the Flyers and Bruins NBC will premiere Doc Emrick – The Voice of Hockey.
