Who doesn’t love a good follow and then refollow? For anyone thinking that it’s absurd that this is news, I’d agree. But, I have been preaching to our bloggers to start amping up our blogs and a leader leads by example, right?
Everyone knows that Buffalo has been—uh not great this year? With the drama surrounding Jeff Skinner, then the drama following their soccer coach, then the drama with Jack Eichel, the Sabres have provided more drama filled experiences than the first season of Laguna Beach. People forget that what happens in Cabo Buffalo, stays in Cabo Buffalo.

Sam Reinhart had a really good year for a team that was astoundingly bad. The guy put up 25 tucks this year which would’ve more than likely been above 30 if the season was 82 games. Since coming into the league, he’s scored 20 in every season except one. I get that Eichel is the prized possession, but Reinhart has been a very productive player in the NHL.
Now the unfollow-follow news comes as a surprise as Reinhart is an RFA this year. Does this mean he wants out of Buffalo? Is this his negotiation tactic? I never played in the NHL so I don’t know the proper protocols for unfollowing and following a team on social media but I do have experience with ex girlfriends. Now an unfollow either occurs when you’re completely done with this individual or you’ve had to much liquid courage around the boys and try to set the tone. What makes this interesting is the refollow. This ONLY happens if you think there’s a chance that you’ll get back together, there’s a chance to be friends with Bennys or if you’re in salvage mode. Is Reinhart calling 1-800-Flowers to get back in the good graces of Buffalo? Is Reinhart taking the Ronnie from jersey shore tactic in which you just deny, deny, deny? GM Adams said he wants players who want to be there, and players that play for each other- something he calls magic?
I’m unsure. Again, I just wrote this blog to be a leader. Do what you want with it.
