Pool Party, Snakes, and The Golden Knights

Vegas is wild, Golden Knights hockey is back, and there’s snakes in Mark Stone’s pool? The Sharks come to Sin City for a Sunday night showdown in the opening game of the preseason. Will Mark Stone bring his new snakes? Move over Braden Holtby your turtles are in for some trouble. Flower followers pack your bags for Chicago. Vezina Trophy winner Marc-Andre Fleury was sent away because of salary cap reasons despite being told he was the face of the franchise. Remember the NHL is a business so don’t get to attached to your team’s best players.

Some might argue that Panda deserves more but it’s no secret he is the clear cut starter. After sending out Fleury, the Golden Knights bring in Laurent Brossoit. Brossoit had a solid year backing up Connor Hellebuyck in Winnipeg. Despite the loss of Flower, I am excited for this new chapter in the Golden Knights goaltending carrousel.

The roster this season looks different than last year. As the years go by it seems like the numbers of the original golden misfits continue to dwindle. Brining in new faces like Evgenii Dadonov, Brett Howden, and Nolan Patrick to help spring board the offense is what the Vegas front office expects.

Ryan Reaves got a proper goodbye before heading out to New York. Of course Robin Lehner is a big animal guy with the nickname Panda but this snake story is pretty hilarious.
