After another embarrassing loss, Stars begin what hopefully will be massive shakeup

The Dallas Stars suffered another loss on Wednesday night against the hated Nashville Predators hailing from the birthplace of pop-country and pointless banners. The dagger came as the clock wound down in the third period on an empty netter completing the embarrassment with a final score of 4-2. Shocking.

The Stars remain the only team in the entire league without a regulation win. The Arizona Coyotes don’t even know how long they will exist and have more regulation wins than the flailing Stars. Seriously, the Stars are about as effective as Magikarp in Pokemon. If you know, you know.

Absolutely useless.

That being said, there was some news coming out of Dallas today that hopefully kickstart the winning revolution. Literally, anything helps at this point.

Tanner Kero and Blake Comeau have both been placed on waivers effective Thursday. While it was tough to remember the last instance Kero was mentioned by the play-by-play tandem of Razor and Josh Bogard, Comeau has been firmly implanted as part of the Stars system dating back to 2018. As of writing this, the two moves are the only announcements that have trickled out of the Stars front office but it Stars-Twitter seems to think it signifies more to come. (Stars-Twitter is ALWAYS right ya know.)

The news also comes after a lengthy post-loss team meeting on Wednesday night. It was a closed meeting, to no one’s surprise.

The Stars came into this season as the oldest team in the NHL. They also have the oldest coach in the NHL in Rick Bowness, because I know how fans feel about him right now. I have to toss him in the article at least once to get the blood really boiling. The moves to place Kero and Comeau on waivers may mean that we will soon see the Stars call upon their AHL affiliate under the same name. Skaters like Riley Tufte or Riley Damiani could finally get their crack at the big Stars, or we may see names like Peterson or Delandrea make their return to Dallas.
