I actually really like the way Brendan Gallagher plays. If you were to describe the way Gallagher plays in one word it would be something along the lines of ‘compete’. The guys has a motor, pisses people off and can score some big time goals. Theres not one team in the league that wouldn’t want this guy on their team and if you disagree then you just don’t get it.
NOW, having said that, this was one of the most selfish, stupid penalties I’ve seen in my entire life. Why? The Habs battled their ass off throughout 58 minutes only to have their chance of tying the game up taken away by a guy who got a little bit too pissed off.
You can’t be a leader on a hockey team and take this kind of penalty. I know there’s other things that might have been said or done, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is if your team gets a W. Sad!
I cannot wait for the Rangers and Canadiens to square off again. I’m sure this isn’t over.
