Detroit loses all 4 games on the road trip, including Saturday against Arizona. Wings couldn’t close it out in regulation.. or OT, they ended up with just one point….

Nov 20 – AWAY vs Arizona 2-1 LOSS (OT)
Hate To See Them
So many parts of this road trip were so hard to watch…
COLUMBUS
The Wings controlled the first half of the game. Up 2-0 well into the second period with goals from Larkin and Rasmussen. Just before the 2nd Intermission, the wheels came off. The Jackets ended tying the game up with two goals in as many minutes to close out the period.
It looked like the Wings had the game with Lucas Raymond scoring toward the end of the third… but again, toward the end of the period, Columbus pushed and the Wings had no answer. 2 goals from Columbus in the last 5 minutes of the game, not counting an empty netter…
DALLAS
Someone is going to have to explain to me the COVID test protocol.
2 games in 2 nights. Wings came out sluggish. They were lucky to get off the ice in the first period down by just one goal. Dallas continued to roll until the Wings decided to start playing about halfway into the second, scoring twice (Zadina and Larkin).
So, Detroit was down 3-2 but buzzing and then Larkin did not return to play for the third period. Come to find out it was related to COVID protocol. After being out on the ice for 2 full periods, he was pulled due to a positive test result. His “positive” test turned out to be a false positive and the Wings fluttered out in the 3rd and Dallas expanded their lead by two…
VEGAS
Moritz Seider took a shot off his knee with about 5 minutes left in the third period and went down immediately. I can’t honestly tell if Vegas was choosing not to shoot, being up 5-1 that close to the end of the game but with a player literally down on the ice, in front of crease, not able to get off right away, how do the referees not blow that play dead?
Luckily Seider was okay and returned for the game tonight against Arizona. This hit wasn’t at all related but need happy thoughts.
ARIZONA
Good teams close. At the end of the day, Ned had a great night, strong game after letting 4 in his last start against Dallas. The Wings had a 1-0 lead until late into the third period.
Arizona scores late, and then gets the OT winner.. on a questionable no-goaltender interference play… Not that any goaltender interference isn’t questionable.. While people are explaining things for me..
Tilts & Tumbles
How about good news… here’s Erne chuckin’ knucks.
