The Hurricanes have lost the last few games. Is it due to the West Coast jet lag and time zone changes? Since they were gone for two weeks, came home for one game, then back to an hour time change against Dallas, just to come back home for two games? The team has to be tired. Not to mention they go back on the road for a five game Canadian trip. There is no way the team can recover enough to have the energy and mindset to play their game.
Not to mention, Pesce and DeAngelo are on Covid protocol, Stepan is injured, and the newly injured Martinook with a ankle injury. Good news Canes fans, Bear is skating with the team.
Unfortunately, the two goals by Teravainen and Svechnikov in the third period weren’t enough for a win. Teravainen’s goal marked his 100th. Hopefully a day off at home will re-energize the team and their spirits.
