Wings Back At LCA Against Isles and US World Juniors Rosters Released.

The Red Wings were back in action, after 3 straight brutal losses, against the New York Islanders at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday night. Detroit gets the W, 2-1!

Bertuzzi Returns!

Nothing like starting a broadcast with COVID news… anyone else sick of the plague?
Tonight was Tyler Bertuzzi’s first game back after missing 5 games, 3 of which Detroit lost. He is back on the first line with Larkin and Raymond, which you could easily argue is one of top lines in the league… when it’s together…

Marc Staal also came off the COVID protocol, did not play.

Could be worse, I guess. Calgary has their games postponed through at least December 16th. Carolina and Minnesota was postponed with 7 players on Carolina on COVID protocol… Yeesh… Maybe the Wings/Canes will happen Thursday..

Yeesh…..

Playing The Isles At Home… Just What The Doctor Ordered

After allowing 5, 6, and 7 goals in their last 3 games, the Wings controlled play for most of the game against NYI.

Larkin gets a much needed goal on the power play, and, music to everyone’s ears, with assists from Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond. Seider setting up Larks with a great pass. Love to see it.

Michael Rusmussen tacks on one more with 7 minutes left in the third from Adam Erne. Anyone who spends the night getting in the grill of Zdeno Chara deserves a tally.

Ned got the nod after getting chased against St. Louis and coming in as relief for Greiss against Colorado, and making 36 saves. Nice bounce back game, getting the win. Saved the stop of the night until seconds before the third period ended. Ended up allowing 1 goal, on 34 shots.

Shoutout to Robby Fabbri, signed to a 3 year extension, at $4M AAV.
