The Buffalo Sabres will play nearly all of their projected starting lineup against Carolina. Carolina will play a younger group of players in their last preseason game. Puck drop 7:00 PM.
Following Sabres practice today, Don Granato indicated that the lines that were on the ice together today are likely to be the lines Sabres fans will see on opening night. The lines were reported as Asplund and Okposo centered by Girgensons; Skinner and Olofsson with Thompson; Tuch and Quinn with Mittlestadt; and Krebs and Peterka with Cozens. The odd line out would appear to be Bjork, Sheahan and Hinostroza.
The Buffalo Sabres intend to name a full-tile Captain for the first time since 2020. There are several solid candidates as well as a wealth of talented young players with leadership experience.
