Nagasu, former Avalanche ice girl, made history on Sunday, becoming the first American woman to land a triple axel in Olympic competition while helping the United States win a bronze medal in the team figure-skating event in PyeongChang.
We’ve all been to games and checked out the ice girls. Hockey isn’t blessed with cheerleaders so this is about as close as we get. I think the general consensus is that their attractive and could skate a little bit. Theres no shot in hell I would ever expect one to nail a triple axel in the Olympics to bring us home a bronze medal.
Badass. The only issue I have is, if she is the first American woman to land a triple axel in the Olympics, why aren’t we bringing home that gold?! I mean it only seems logical that if you make history you should be stunting out of there with a gold chain around your neck.

A triple axel is pretty sweet, but maybe next time attempt something more dangerous? I’m only in the business of winning and if Mirai can somehow pull off an Iron Lotus one day then I will be forever grateful.
