Linesman Steve Barton Leaves Game With a Dislocated Knee Cap and a Torn Quad

Wellllll, that didn’t look great. I don’t think legs are supposed to look like that? What was an innocent play turned into a world of trouble for Linesman Steve Barton.

Classic hockey guy. Your leg is barely hanging onto the rest of your body and you give the stretcher the ol’, “No thanks, I’m full.” I truly do respect people who are this tough. Having said that, theres not a chance in hell that I wouldn’t have jumped on that stretcher. If you can’t tell by now, I’m a bit of a diva and need to be cared about or loved. As Michael Scott once said, “Do I need to be liked? Absolutely not. I like to be liked. I enjoy being liked. I have to be liked. But it’s not like this compulsive need to be liked, like my need to be praised.” You better believe I would’ve been working that crowd with two thumbs up while they chanted, “Ked! Ked!” One can dream.

Good luck to Steve, hope to see him back out there sooner rather than later.
