Yesterday the Bruins played the Blue Jackets and the place was bumpin’. Hal sent us this video pregame and the city of Boston went insane.
That’s right, Conor McGregor was there to drop the ceremonial puck drop and had a few words for the Bruins before the game started.
Yup, they were ready for war. Having dropped their previous 3 games, it was important for the Bs to get back to their winning ways. That’s when Brad Marchand scored in overtime and hit us with the celly of the year.
I mean, magnificent. When I played, I always had cellys I wanted to do but they would be completely forgotten about once I actually scored. Granted, I have collectively scored like 8 goals in my entire competitive playing career however I knew what I wanted to do but could never actually do it. Brad Marchand doing the McGregor walk is exactly what happens when stars align. The most hated player in the NHL honoring one of the biggest legendary shit talkers in the history of shit talking is perfection. The hockey gods couldn’t have written a more perfect script.
Big win for the Bruins, big win for St. Patricks Day and big win for us hockey fans at home.
