I just want to start by saying that I am red hot this month. I’m up like 6.5 units and have been on fire this last half of the month, going 7-1. I am certainly being selective which is why following the @bettingcrashers is important when deciding which play to take that night. So here are my weekend leans and reasons why I’m picking them.
Saturday’s Dog, Favorite, and Over/Under
Underdog: Saturday March 30, 7pm: Buffalo Sabres at NY Islanders: Islanders ML
The art of the tank has been mastered by the Sabres and this game will certainly be a loss. Weird schedule has them at home, then traveling to LI on Saturday and right back home to face the Blue Jackets. They will be looking to get the hell out of LI and the Islanders are desperate for points as they are battling for positioning in the standings.
Favorite: Saturday March 30, 10pm: Dallas Stars at Vancouver Canucks: Canucks ML
I love the Canucks in this spot against the Stars. Dallas will be at the end of a 4 game roadie after already beating the Jets and Flames. The Nucks are also on a skid right now and will be hungry for a win.
Under: Saturday March 30, 8pm: Columbus Blue Jackets at Nashville Predators: Under 6
Both of these teams are playing meaningful hockey. They will not want to give up anything and will play for a point if its half way through the third and it’s a tie game. Look for a conservative game. 2-1 and 3-2. That’s the Predators hockey in a nut shell this season. They need to shut down the BJ offense, which has been humming lately. Preds unders are so hot right now. 6 or below in last 7 games.
Picking all of Friday’s games….winning teams bolded.
St. Louis Blues at New York Rangers
Nashville Predators at Pittsburgh Penguins
New Jersey Devils at Detroit Red Wings
Arizona Coyotes at Colorado Avalanche
Anaheim Ducks at Calgary Flames
Minnesota Wild at Vegas Golden Knights
Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabres: Blue Jackets ML
Calgary Flames at San Jose Sharks: Flames ML
Minnesota Wild at Arizona Coyotes: Under 6
Good luck to you all this weekend. I know we got a lot of college basketball and opening weekend baseball out there, but this NHL finish is going to be some good hockey.
