Caps Acquire D-Man Brenden Dillon!

As I am typing this the Caps are 2-5 in their last 7 and most likely could have been 1-6 if it weren’t for TJ Oshie playing out of his godforsaken mind!

The Caps defense as I mentioned has been the weak spot in this Cup caliber team. Being at the game live on Saturday against the Yotes was even more clear the Caps need help in the defensive end of the ice.

Just as I thought that there was no hope in landing a decent defender the Caps go out and get Sharks D-Man Brenden Dillon for a 2020 second round pick (acquired from Colorado) and a conditional 2021 third round pick.

Dillon is an experienced (9 years pro) 6’4″ 225 defenseman and plays with a high level of physicality and pride in his game. He will easily pay dividends for the struggling Caps. Oh and this man isn’t afraid to throw the body!

Dillon has 14 points in 59 games played this season. He led the Sharks in Hits(178) & 4th in blocked shots(67). Dillon is also a great penalty killer which is never a bad thing to strengthen for a playoff run.

I saw this the other day and as if you couldn’t immediately like this pickup even more, Dillon is a passionate guy that takes the game very seriously and isn’t afraid to show it. He should fit in right away in the locker-room because guys that show this type of respect and drive for the game get players immediate respect.

P.S- OVI please get 700 already!
