Post Whistle Hits From Behind Are The New Thing

This came out about a week ago and I still don’t really know what to say or think. Back in the old days (I’m not even 30 yet) after the whistle was the time to try and give someone a wet willy, a face wash, a hack on the laces, or what I would like to call normal hockey behavior. This? This I have never seen before. The only thing I think that somewhat looks like this was this.

I mean, these kids are purposely trying to hit each other from behind and it’s not like they’re coasting in there. I don’t know what led to this but you got to think there were serious repercussions.

Also, #12: You cannot get buried like that and not do anything about it. I think all bets are off when the other team are doing windsprints, stapling you into the boards. It didn’t just happen once but it happened twice. And then when everyone is going at it, you casually take a stroll to the side. Perimeter player for sure.
