The curse of the golden helmets has been lifted. The Minnesota Wild the next opponent, have won the last six games and continue to climb the standings in the Honda West. Fans are allowed at the Fortress as of March 1st at 15% capacity. Robin Lehner is still sidelined with upper body injury. Marc-Andre Fleury and his petals have been busy working, starting all but one game during the month of February.
No timetable available for Robin Lehner’s upper body injury so goaltender Oscar Dansk has been recalled from the Henderson Silver Knights. With three games in the next four days and a Panda still down it is likely Flower will get a night off.
After watching these spectacular saves its an understatement to say Flower has been busy. Stopping 26 of 30 against a surging Wild team MAF was a big reason why VGK escaped with the win in overtime. The two goals Vegas scored in the second period also happened to be powerplay goals. Vegas is averaging about 20% on the PP for the season and as of late its been looking much better.
The highlight of the night was Mark Stone and his five assists. The captain loves dishing out those apples and really put on a show last night. There are many reasons why Stone was named the first captain in Vegas Golden Knights history and he just keeps adding to the list.
