Well, that didn’t take a long time to happen, now did it? 2 games into the playoffs and Nazem Kadri is going to Nazem Kadri.
That’s what we like to call a ‘direct hit to the head’. Can someone tell this guy that he doesn’t need to continue doing dumb shit like this and that he’s an effective player on a team that potentially could win the Stanley Cup? Luckily for the Avs, the Blues were only able to convert once on the 5 minute penalty and survive going back to St. Louis up two games to one. Now, where do we go from here?
Many of you remember the hit on Debrusk but I was shocked to see that Kadris rap sheet is actually quite long. Normally you see this and assume the player is just a rat but Kadri is talented enough and skilled enough to avoid doing things like this on a somewhat regular basis. Colorado knew what they were signing up for when acquiring Kadri, right? Again, the Avs were able to survive but what if this happened in a must win game against a team that can play with the Avs? What if this changes the momentum of the series and St.Louis rattles off four in a row? Enough is enough man, you can play the game hard without doing this over and over again— I know this because there are thousands of hockey players that have literally done it. Anyways, now we wait. We wait to see how St.Louis reacts. We wait to see how Colorado will adjust. And lastly, we wait until good ol’ George Parros gives him a 5K dollar fine, probably. Player safety, am I right?
