NHL ’22 is coming out and everyone seems to have an opinion on it. They hate this, they hate that. WELL, what do you want? Here are my top 3 additions I’d like to see.
Celebrations
I don’t know if its because I’m a hockey purist (this is a joke) but the sliding on the ice is played out. How many times has this happened in real life? I can only remember once?
Also, not to nit-pick, but can we get some urgency on the boys hopping into the pile? Chel has made it more realistic the last couple of years, but depending on the score, celebrations should be boosted. 7-1? Who cares? 3-2, scoring with 3 seconds left should bring the heat.
Fighting

It’s been forever since we had changes in the fighting. Guys don’t ever square up and just throw without grabbing so let’s get rid of that. And lets get some line brawls up in this bitch, no? Not all the time, but once a season, a big hit should result in a circus. Realism.
Back Door City
This is the holy grail of Chel. How do you score? Drive wide, throw the puck back door and press up. Does this happen in the NHL? A few times on 2 on 1’s but in real life? Not that often. Eliminating the back door pass will also save thousands on video game controllers.
What am I missing? What grinds your gears? Let us know!
