Over the course of their two week West Coast trip, the Hurricanes earned 7 points with three wins, an overtime loss and a regulation loss. For all the Hurricanes fans, it was definitely weird to hear announcer John Forslund for the Seattle Kracken.
The game started off with a strong start for both teams. Seth Jarvis (first round pick), has now played his 10th game. Does this mean he will be full time with the Hurricanes? All signs point to yes. If he doesn’t remain with the Hurricanes, he will have to clear waivers. I don’t think Brind’Amour is going to want to take that chance.
Brenden Smith scored to open up the scoring in the game to give the Hurricanes the lead going into the second period. However, it wouldn’t last long, as the Kracken would get a power play goal by Jared McCann. It would remain tied for the rest of the second. Unfortunately, to seal the deal, Marcus Johansson scored in the third.
The Hurricanes have a rematch against The Flyers on Friday.
