On this weeks podcast Papa and I talked about what costumes we were looking forward to seeing on Halloween. Because I’m an idiot, I didn’t think of Gritty but Papa did. Papa has been woke on Gritty ever since he came in the league and he absolutely nailed his prediction. Gritty for Halloween is HOT in the streets right now.
Everywhere you go, you will be seeing Gritty. Not just in costumes but with pumpkins too.
I’ve never seen an individual take over the league like this before. Sure, McDavid, Crosby, Matthews and Ovechkin made their presence known, but this is unparalleled. Gritty will go down as one of the best mascots of all time and he’s only been around for what, a month? Shoutout and a HUGE raise to whatever Philadelphia gremlin came up with this idea. Pure, unadulterated genius move from the Flyers and their marketing staff. Gritty Forever.
