For those who don’t know who Dave Portnoy is, he is the arrogant, cocky, but big brained founder of Barstool Sports. A die hard Boston fan with the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. He is also a part time Bruins fan. Hate him or love him, he is a must follow on social media because of his antics. Internet gold.
This week Dave found himself in hot water after Stinger, the Blue Jackets mascot, attacked him on Twitter, telling Dave to stick to pizza (Portnoy is famous for his pizza reviews) after he took a shot at jacked up Columbus fans on Twitter.
This all started because Portnoys Bruins lost game 3 in Columbus and Blue Jackets fans were rightfully pumped. This then led to some back and forth and then Stinger calling Portnoy dumb for arguing with a Bee…
Which then led to the founder of Barstool Sports challenging a mascot to a fight and a solid comeback from Stinger…
The current climate of the feud has resulted into Portnoy inviting Stinger onto Barstool Radio to talk about the beef and the ongoing series between the Boston Bruins and Columbus Blue Jackets.
So what does this all mean? Well, if you haven’t taken a side in this series, you pretty much have to. I’ve had enough of Boston and their sports arrogance even though they have been crushing championships left and right. So with that being said I’m jumping on the Columbus bandwagon and declaring myself Team Stinger for the rest of the playoffs.
