Evander Kane Is Being Sued For $500K in Las Vegas For Gambling Markers

Review Journal – San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has 500,000 more reasons to dislike Las Vegas.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas filed a lawsuit Monday in Clark County District Court alleging Kane failed to pay back $500,000 in gambling markers the casino extended to him in April.

The court documents state that Kane, who is a Canadian citizen, took out eight credits of varying amounts between $20,000 and $100,000 on or about April 15. That date would have fallen between Games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup first-round playoff series between the Sharks and the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Cosmopolitan also seeks repayment of legal fees associated with the lawsuit. The Cosmopolitan declined to comment on pending litigation, citing company policy.

As if Ryan Reaves wasn’t looking for more ammunition. Evander Kane is an incredible hockey player but keeps getting in the news for some not so great things. I know the past is the past but it seems like negative publicity just follows this guy wherever he goes. This is also a situation that you know the NHL was just waiting to handle now that they have a team in Vegas. It was only a matter of time that something like this would happen and in terms of drama and rivalry, this is just going to add more fuel to the fire of the Evander Kane vs. Vegas Golden Knights/ Ryan Reaves feud. I can’t wait to see what Reavo says when he’s inevitably asked about this. He chirps, and now he’s stealing from your city Reavo? Fuck, I can’t wait for the next Sharks Knights game. Rivalries are incredible when they’re not forced down your throat.
