Vince Dunn and Jordan Kyrou of the St. Louis Blues won $100k in the Twitch Rivals SuperGames Tournament. Dunn and Kyrou finished in second place in the tournament, which included all-star athletes from across the sports world along with two professional gamers (air-cool and mrconrem). The event started on April 13th and consisted of four rounds.
The tournament was a point based system and the Blues team accumulated the second most points in the tournament and lost out on first place to a well known football duo who have had some publicity playing Fortnite in the past. Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (Pittsburgh Steelers) won the tournament with the help of two of the best Fortnite players in the world (Tfue and Scoped). They won the $1 million grand prize for charity.
The $100k will be divided between the 4 players, which will give them each $25k to donate to the charity of their choice.
The tournament also included Blues prospect Jake Walman who won $2k for No Kids Hungry. Other athletes across the sports world include Bryce Harper (Philadelphia Phillies), Nathan MacKinnon (Colorado Avalanche), David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins), Patrik Laine (Winnipeg Jets), and Xavier Woods (WWE).
