Apparently The Penguins Went Back to Wooden Sticks in Yesterdays Practice

I LOVE this move. What does Michael Scott say? KISS.

Not only did the Penguins announce that Ron Hextall and Brian Burke would be joining the organization, they had a mandatory wooden stick practice to help manage the puck better and get back to the basics. Obviously they won’t be using this in game but I think the best analogy for this would be a baseball donut? Swing the fuck out of it and get up there with a bat velocity faster than Connor McDavid through the neutral zone. I’m unsure if this really did anything but something like this keeps a practice light and outside of playing on a pond, theres nothing more nostalgic than rocking a Paul Coffey Sherwood, am I wrong? The Pens are 5-5-1 and will be battling for that 4th and final playoff spot. With Sidney Crosby, you’re never out of a game. Will they make the playoffs this year? Unsure. But if they do, you can expect to see an all wooden stick practice help break up the rollercoaster of a full NHL season.
