Defenseman Bode Wilde was not included in Isles’ camp under the Islanders’ vaccination policy. Lou Lamoriello made it clear that any Islander who did not get vaccinated would not be invited to camp.
Lou had also mentioned that one “minor leaguer” remained unvaccinated. That turned out to be Bode.

It’s not clear which human rights Bode thought were being violated by the vaccination policy for the team.
Wilde played the last two years in Bridgeport, getting 8 points in 42 games. The Isles remained committed to finding Bode a place to play this year.
Yet even when sacrificing so much – to make a stand, I guess – Bode’s not expressing what he’s standing for. Human rights, dude? Really? Vaccines are a violation of your human rights?
