The Vegas Golden Knights have been plagued with injuries all season long. Laurent Brossoit will make his second consecutive start tonight against the Calgary Flames. Brossoit took the shootout loss in his season debut on Tuesday night in Chicago. Patrick Kane has been on an absolute HEATER as of late. Could Kane be coming to Vegas??
Adin Hill won’t even be in the lineup against the Flames, who knows how long he will be out. The goaltending carousel continues for Vegas and you have to wonder if this is some sort of curse or hex caused by the effects of trading away Flower. Let’s take a look at the play that took out Logan Thompson. This doesn’t come as a coincidence happening in Minnesota. The Minnesota Wild just so happens to be where Marc-Andre Fleury is currently rostered. The ghost of flower strikes again.
This injury was not caused by a collision at the net, nobody even touched Thompson. Tough break for the goaltender who has a .914 save percentage in 36 games played. Robin Lehner hasn’t played a game all season because of shoulder and knee surgery. You might have heard about his snake farm which caused him to file bankruptcy, that’s what Panda has been up to this year.
Leaving the Golden Knights with two former Winnipeg Jets in the crease. Brossoit has clearly taken the starting role after these back to back starts but anything can happen, especially in Vegas. In 23 games played with the Henderson Silver Knights Laurent Brossoit has 8 wins 2.72 goals against and .909 save percentage. Brossoit played 24 games last season with Vegas and if he can string together some wins this season he might be playing into another contract.
