Blues Bounce Back: Faulk and Kyrou Steal the Show

The Blues looked great on opening night beating the Avalanche 4-1. I didn’t talk about newcomer Kyle Clifford in the last post because I’ve never been a fan of the former LA King but his style of play fits perfectly with St. Louis.

Colorado is an early pick by many to win the cup this year which had me questioning that after the first meeting. I missed the 8-0 slaughter house because of work and now I know why the Avs are a favorite to win the cup. “Saved by Grubauer” just watch the clip below.

Following the split in Colorado, the Blues head back to St. Louis for the first home game of the year in a battle with San Jose. The Sharks take the early lead even though it felt like Blues had puck possession throughout the period. The Blues hit the back of the net four times in the second period. Brayden Schenn gets credit for the goal below but I just want to highlight Jordan Kyrou and how he makes Erik Karlsson look like Lucic in pregame.

The Blues are able to stay undefeated at Enterprise Center after a pair of goals from both Justin Faulk and Jordan Kyrou. Pick up Kyrou in your fantasy league because he is going to have a huge year! Mike Hoffman gets his first goal as a Blue on a redirection from Parayko’s slap shot.
