Number 91 has officially been activated from injured reserve and will be in the lineup against the LA Kings. Vladimir Tarasenko had another shoulder surgery back in September and has been eager to return ever since. Three successful shoulder surgeries in 28 months might make you wonder if he’s still got it. I am here to remind you “Taradanko” has plenty left in the tank, just wait for Monday’s game in the Shart Tank. There was speculation he would be back during this California trip but the Blues kept the exact date locked up. Yana Tarasenko was the one to break the news with this post on Instagram.
The Blues beat the Kings last night in overtime thanks to two goals from David Perron and the eventual game winner from Mike Hoffman. The power play continues to stay hot converting on one of the three chances. Hopefully, with the return of Tarasenko this trend can continue.
In order to make room for Tarasenko the Blues have assigned Colton Parayko to the injured reserved list and those injuries continue to pile up. I still haven’t forgotten about the Mark Stone hit on Tyler Bozak and nobody knows the status of Jaden Schwartz. There is no doubt having someone like Tarasenko coming back to the lineup is what the Blues need as we approach the halfway mark in the regular season.
I can guarantee you number 91 will be on the score sheet tonight. If he doesn’t score a goal in LA it will come on Monday. The Sharks still suck, maybe they can get another point against Vegas tonight but I don’t see that happening. The Honda West is a bloodbath so the Sharks might as well focus on fighting for that number one draft pick.
